A yurt is a portable structure that is essentially a cross between a tent and a cabin. Yurts feature a hard floor, are circular in shape and have a wooden frame covered in a hardy fabric material. Each yurt is equipped with a bunk bed (double bed below and single bed up top) and a double sized murphy bed, a barbeque for cooking, and a woodstove for heat.
Cozy up to the fire and watch the sunset over the lake. Gaze up at the starry sky through the skylight dome as you drift off to sleep in a comfortable bed. Spend your day exploring Bruce Peninsula National Park’s iconic trails and enjoy a park-led activities on weekends.
Expect limited service in the winter, both in the park and in the surrounding area. The Parks Canada Visitor Centre and Cyprus Lake Campground Office will be open over the winter. There is a gas station, grocery store, post office, liquor store, and a handful of other businesses that stay open throughout the year in the town of Tobermory with reduced winter hours.
Reservations can be made online at www.reservation.pc.gc.ca or by calling 1-877-RESERVE (877-737-3783)
